After 13 years the Kannada Chalanachitra Itihaasa revised edition with corrections and omissions was released on Saturday evening at Gandhi Bhavan, Bengaluru.

A joint effort of Hampi Kannada University and KFCC was released at a function attended by Dr Mallika Ghanti, SIFCC President HD Gangaraju, KFCC President Thomas D Souza, KCA Chairman SV Rajendra Singh Babu and others.

It was in 2002 the Kannada Chalanachitra Ithihaasa was released. 70 years history of Kannada cinema book was banned for objections. The revised copy was released in the new committee headed by Prof Baraguru Ramachandrappa. The Baraguru committee was appointed in the regime of Dr Jayamala as President of KFCC.

We have not touched on the base provided by the book. The objection, criticism and language factors have been corrected says Prof Baraguru Ramachandran at the release of the revised edition. In this revised edition also if there are changes I am open for discussion stated Baraguru Ramachandrappa. He also felt that this book should be available in college libraries and Universities stated Vice Chancellor Dr Mallika Ghanti.
